Welcome.... -April 4, 2005- The Eyelash Carpets are relocating to Asheville, North Carolina to open a gallery/theatre space to host and present performances by outsider artist. This has been a primary goal of our production group The Church of Anexia since its inception. Though we will miss our friends and collaborators in New Orleans, a great purpose calls. We once again apologize about the delays with the release of The Eyelash Carpets LP "Happiness Once Again." We plan to have the CD digipak release ready by mid May and the LP's by June. A small east coast tour is planned for July, tour dates will be posted here as soon as the dates are confirmed. Fiat Yod! -December 23, 2004- The Eyelash Carpets have been interviewed by The Offbeat Music Magazine www.offbeat.com. Look for the band to be featured in this January's issue. We have finished recording and mixing The Eyelash Carpets fourth full length release titled "Happiness Once Again" We hope to have the vinyl back from the press before the end of January. We are making available again the 1997 cassette "Two of Cups-The Lovers." This release was influenced by the sex magick sigil work of Austin Spare and Nurse with Wound's Soliloquy for Lilith. It is a 23 minute sex charged drone loop. It was created by ritual to be used in ritual. We recently listend to it in a purely entertainment setting an were pleasantly surprised how well it stood up over time. Orinally offered for free to any who sent us a blank cassette and 1 dollar for postage. It will know be available for 6 dollars for those who live in the United States and 10 dollars to the rest of the world. The Eyelash Carpets are now working on music for the upcoming movie on Absinthe by the New Orleans artist Eric Laws, whose piano brings life into many of the songs on HOA. We are also working on songs for our collaboratory LP with Scaven. A record release party for Happiness Once Again is in the planning stages for early Febuary. -November 23, 2004- The Eyelash Carpets have just returned from Holland. Before we left, we discovered an old cassette tape containing a recording of Dogstar Communications performing outside a haunted house in Arcata, Kalifornia October 31st 1997. Many of this songs we had never recorded. We brought the tape. Working with the electronic alchemist Scaven, mixed with a potent combination of wormwood and dutch vibrational spice, the world will be able to experience the songs Antique Veils, Man in the Moon, Addiction and Burning Kisses reincarnate. Our next LP, tentavely entitled "Happiness Once Again" will hopefully be availabe before December 1. Our plans are to release this as 180gm vinyl 12" lp. for those who do not have a record player, each LP come with a professionally pressed compact disc. We are very excited about this project, Matt Castille, a member of one of the greatest freakout mind melting bands of all time, The Vas Deferens Organizations is working with us on this release. As a fan and an artist, this is a dream come true for the paregoric kid. Also appearing on Happiness Once Again, Pantopon Rose, Pulvis Opii, Scaven, DJ Daturo, Eric Laws, DJ Potpie, S>Bone, Bunny, Zenoizen, Ventje, and many whose names we do not know.
